Here is a list of the Spring 2010 Editor Recogniton Awards as announced at the 2010 State Convention.

A Distinguished Service to Journalism Education, JACC scholarships, CaL-JEC adviser awards, Volunteer of the Year awards,a First Amendment administrator award, and Extra Mile volunteer awards were among the special awards distributed at the 2010 State Convention. The Pacesetter Award is a sweepstakes award to honor the top four schools in mail-in and on-the-spot competition at the annual convention.The 2010 unranked winners are Cerritos College, Contra Costa College, LA Valley College and Mt. San Antonio College

NorCal Conference

The NorCal conference is a one-day affair held each fall, usually at San Jose State University. The conference features contests, workshops and meetings. (More)

SoCal Conference

The SoCal conference is a day-and-a-half affair held each fall, usually at CSU, Fullerton. The conference features contests, workshops and meetings. It features many of the on-the-spot competitions common to the annual convention. (More)

Mid-Winter Faculty Conference

Also known as the Morro Bay Conference because of its location each January/February, the Mid-Winter Faculty Conference is a two-day affair for journalism faculty to discuss teaching issues and get an annual update on media law. Many years a day-long workshop, known as the Blue Heron Workshop, precedes the conference and focuses on one topic of teaching training. (More)

The Annual Convention is a three-day affair for students and faculty that offers a full array of workshops, contests, meetings and more. This premiere JACC event rotates annually between southern and northern California and is held in late March/early April. (More)
