State Convention

The Annual Convention is a three-day affair for students and faculty that offers a full array of workshops, contests, meetings and more. This premiere JACC event rotates annually between southern and northern California and is held in late March/early April.

Would be helpful to have the actual date, location, cost and registration dates for the next state convention!

The SoCal conference is a day-and-a-half affair held each fall, usually at CSU, Fullerton. The conference features contests, workshops and meetings. It features many of the on-the-spot competitions common to the annual convention. (More)

Mid-Winter Faculty Conference

Also known as the Morro Bay Conference because of its location each January/February, the Mid-Winter Faculty Conference is a two-day affair for journalism faculty to discuss teaching issues and get an annual update on media law. Many years a day-long workshop, known as the Blue Heron Workshop, precedes the conference and focuses on one topic of teaching training. (More)
