2010 Special Awards

A Distinguished Service to Journalism Education, JACC scholarships, CaL-JEC adviser awards, Volunteer of the Year awards,a First Amendment administrator award, and Extra Mile volunteer awards were among the special awards distributed at the 2010 State Convention. In addition five retiring faculty members were recognized.

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO JOURNALISM EDUCATION AWARD

Awarded each year to someone outside of the JACC organization for outstanding contributions to journalism education, especially at the community college level. Many of the JACC scholarships are then awarded in the name of this honoree.
