The Journalism Association of Community Colleges honors promising students each year in its scholarship program. The two biggest single awards are permanently named after early pioneer instructors in California Community College journalism: Warren Mack and Art Margosian. Other scholarships each year are awarded in the name of the winner as JACC's Distinguished Service to Journalism Education honoree. Most years the honoree is on hand to announce the scholarship winners.
