JACC schools win at ACP

Congratulations to Contra Costa, Southwestern and Santa Barbara City colleges for winning Pacemaker awards at the 2009 Associated College Press conference in San Antonio this past weekend.

Contra Costa also won Best of Show awards for its broadsheet newspaper and in the special edition contests and Santa Barbara won first in the tabloid newspaper (4-16 pages) contest and fifth in the Publication Web Site Small School contest. Santa Ana College won a fourth place in the tabloid (17 or more pages) contest. Mt. San Antonio College won a fifth placed in the Magazine Feature-Special Audience contest.

Two other JACC schools were finalists in the Pacemaker competition: Los Angeles City College and Santa Ana.
